Appointments & Home Visits

Need to book an appointment?

You can now register to book on-line appointments directly from your phone or computer. Please ask at our reception desk for more details of this service.

If you are already registered for this service click on the following
link to take you to the Patient Access on-line services website:
https://www.patientaccess.com/

The phone lines open at 8am and we have ‘urgent on the day’ appointments available every morning and afternoon at various times between 8.30am to 12.30pm and 2.00 to 5.30pm. Additional prearranged appointments are available Tuesday up to 7.00pm and Thursday from 7.20am. We also have pre-bookable future appointments available for non-urgent routine issues.

Whenever possible your appointment will be with your preferred GP or nurse. If he or she is unavailable you will be offered an alternative on the appropriate day, as capacity allows. You may be invited to see our advanced nurse practitioner.

Advance appointments are also available with the practice nurses, including reviews of chronic illnesses and a wide range of other checks.

All calls are triaged by our reception team using guidelines provided by our GP partners. You need to give the receptionist a brief reason for the call so that your appointments can be arranged with the correct Clinician and within an appropriate timeframe for your issue. If your issue requires a face-to-face appointment this will be arranged for you – otherwise your appointment will be a telephone call from your allocated clinician.

If you feel that you need to see a GP today, we will ensure that you are able to discuss your concerns with a Clinician today.

Urgent Issues

You may be asked whether your condition could be handled by our advanced nurse practitioners. They are fully qualified to handle a wide range of problems.

Home Visits

If your illness prevents you from coming to the surgery, telephone 635362 between 8.30 and 10.00am to request a home visit which will normally be made after morning surgery or early afternoon. In an EMERGENCY telephone 634367 to contact the doctor on call. During the day surgery staff will deal with your call and contact the appropriate doctor.
