Appointments & Home Visits

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Station View Health Centre have made changes to the way they offer ‘Same day’ appointments

‘Same day’ appointments are available for patients to book on the day and these are booked by calling the surgery at 08.00.  These appointments are intended for patients with acute illnesses/problems that need to be actioned by a Clinician that day.

These appointments will now be booked in time order to prevent the further loss of appointments.

We would also like to remind patients that our ANP, nurses, B12, INR and blood appointments can be booked online without the need to call the surgery.

If you would like to sign up to Online Access, please speak to a member of the reception team.  (You will need to provide photo ID)

We would like to thank you for your ongoing support.

Appointments are available every morning and afternoon, from Monday to Friday at various times between 8.30am -12.30pm and 2.00 - 5.30pm.

A 'same day' booking service is offered for the majority of doctors' and advanced nurse practitioner's appointments. On the day you need to see a doctor, phone the surgery or call at reception and we will usually make an appointment for later that day.

Whenever possible your appointment will be with your preferred GP or nurse. If he or she is unavailable you will be offered an alternative on the same day, as capacity allows.

You may be asked whether your condition could be handled by our advanced nurse practitioners. They are fully qualified to handle a wide range of problems.

Advance bookings can be made, but for most circumstances we believe that the same day booking service will meet the needs of most of our patients.

Advance appointments are also available with the practice nurses, including reviews of chronic illnesses and a wide range of other checks.

It is also possible to speak to a doctor or nurse on the phone. You need to give a receptionist a brief reason for the call, and a Clinician will call you back.

If you feel that you need to see a GP today, we will ensure that you are able to discuss your concerns with a Clinician today.

You can now register to book on-line appointments directly from your own computer. Please ask at our reception counter for more details of this service.
